Joy Inspiration Interview and Giveaway!

Where do you live? And, what is your favourite thing about living where you do?

My husband and I live in Fort Rucker, AL.  We recently moved from Indiana.  I'm loving the warm weather and outdoor activities.  I'm usually found walking my 4 month old puppy on all of the trails available to us on post, or riding with my husband in his red convertible.

When did you become part of the creative community, and how did it begin?

I started my own photography business 2 years ago after so many friends of mine kept asking me to take their senior pictures, engagement pictures, etc etc.  Just recently I started making greeting cards after exploring the possibilities of studying graphic design as a second degree.

What do you create on a regular basis?

Most of my cards are "thinking of you" related.  However, there has been a lot of interest shown in my monogram stationary sets, so that encourages me to branch out and be more creative with monograms.

What is your favourite thing to create? Or are there many?

Cards with a lot of color are my favorite!

How long have you been blogging?
I've been blogging for two years.  My husband and I started a blog to help keep family updated once we moved out of state.  I've been blogging on my business related blog for only a few months.

What do you share on your blog?

Recipes, DIY projects, new greeting cards

Where do you get your inspiration from?
My husband is always giving me ideas - he likes witty cards, so most of my puns have been derived from him.


What does your workspace look like?

We recently moved to a 4 bedroom house - for just my husband and me.  So, we turned one of the bedrooms into an office for myself and my husband.  I have a small white desk which holds my laptop, bamboo tablet and sketch book.  I'm a neat freak, so everything is in it's place.  :)
